How did you hear about us?

Well, one of the first things we wanted to do was to replace everything, our flooring on the stairs, and so I did a Google search, and the important part for us was to find a company that could do both woodwork, retreads, and tile, and I ended up with the best company out there.

How was your experience with us?

From the very beginning, the staff at the office was both very congenial and very knowledgeable, and the communication is very, very important when you take on a big project like this. So, the project from the office to Carlos being the manager and the artisans and craftsmen that he had working for him were paramount.

So now, after two years, what do you have to say about your stairs?

Well, I think the results speak for themselves, and the stairs after two years still look like they’re brand new. And it’s something that’s really, really important, is the fact that every single day, my wife and myself and my friends and family walk up these stairs, and everything sooner or later is at eye level. And so it’s something that you see right in your face every single day, and the fact that it’s still perfect is paramount to the quality of the work that was done.

I want to tell you about our experience with Face of Wood. We walked into that office the 4th of that day, and we felt so comfortable and chatted for a little while and walked out saying, “That’s our last try. It’s gonna be them.”

When it came down to the work, Gui came out to the house. He started making suggestions that we had not even thought of. It’s a partial renovation, so we had certain stipulations about things we wanted to keep. He was open to all of them.

He had a real can-do attitude in comparison to other people we had talked to. When it came down to doing the work, every one of their subs was personable, worked hard, efficiently, cleaned up after themselves, and it was nothing but a positive experience.

So this is the second project that we’ve done with Face of Wood. Three years ago, when we moved into this home, we had our wood flooring redone, expanded into other rooms. We met Carlos at Face of Wood at the time. They did an excellent job on the flooring. And so when we got around to doing our kitchen renovation, we called him specifically to do the flooring because we didn’t know that he did other things. And it turns out he did all of the cabinet design, built the cabinets, arranged all of the electricity, all of the drywall, everything that needed to be done.

It was a one-stop shop with Face of Wood. So we’re very happy with the results.
